AC installation checklist for Indian homes
Use this before paying the final installation bill. Most bad AC purchases become bad because of unclear installation terms, not because of the machine alone.
Before installer arrives
Payment safety- OKConfirm final installed price in writing, not only machine price.
- OKAsk included copper pipe length and extra per-meter rate.
- OKConfirm outdoor bracket, drain pipe, core cutting, and transport charges.
- OKCheck invoice name, GST details, model code, and warranty registration process.
- OKConfirm where indoor and outdoor units will be mounted.
During installation
Quality safety- OKIndoor unit should be level with enough clearance for airflow.
- OKOutdoor unit should be stable, accessible, and not blocked.
- OKDrain pipe should have proper downward slope and no reverse bends.
- OKCopper pipes should be insulated properly and not sharply bent.
- OKAsk installer to perform vacuum or proper line purging as recommended.
